The Washington Nationals was established on 1969 as Montreal Expos. The Nats is a Major League Baseball team currently based on Washington D.C. The team relocated from Montreal to Washington in 2005. They’re playing in the Eastern Division of the National League.

The Expos’ first years as a baseball team were full of losses and mediocre performances. They won their only division championship in the early 1980s. During the 1990s, the team began recovering from their losses with the help of some of its players such as Larry Walker, Moisés Alou, Marquis Grissom and Pedro Martinez.  But the remaining part of the 1994 season was cancelled. This caused the team to lose some of its best players, financial accounts, supporters and even their ownership. Their relocation to Washington D.C. took effect in 2005.

The Washington Nationals did well in their starting seasons in Washington having recorded 7-3 against the Philadelphia Phillies in April 2005. A week after, they won their first home game against Arizona Diaondbacks in a 5-3 record. In an interleague play of the National league, they recorded a total of 12 wins. Strong performances by several players led the team to its success in their 2005 and 2006 seasons.

Among the cool items of the Nats that are perfect to your taste are their autographed baseballs, Ryan Zimmerman auotgraphed 8x10 photo, as well as their heritage photo mint. The Nats’ name is often misspelled as Washinton National, Washington Nationels, Washington Nationales, Washington Nationalles and Weshington Nationals.
