A strong MLB team who had amazingly won 10 World Series titles, St. Louis Cardinals had also won 17 National League pennants, 7 Central Division titles, three East Division titles, and one wild card berth. They are currently based in St. Louis, Missouri and are members of the Central Division in the National League. The team was originally called as the St. Louis Brown Stockings and was founded in 1892 in the American Association.
During their first games, the team had incredibly won four American Association pennants and it was in 1892v when they had decided to join in the National League. In the 1930s, the team’s key players were Dizzy Dean, Joe Medwick, Pepper Martin and Leo Durocher. They however lost to the Philadelphia Athletics during the 1930 World Series. The Cardinals made up from their lost and had dominated the league in the 1940s where they had amazingly won 106 games. They had defeated the Boston Red Sox during the World Series in 1967. The team had placed second in the National League Eastern Division in the 1970s.
They had won again the National League in the year 1987 but had lost to the Minnesota Twins in the World Series. In the 1990s, the Cardinals had finished fourth in the National League Central Division. The team started the 2007 season defending their 2006 World Series title.
