Winner of three World Series titles, Minnesota Twins had also bagged six American League pennants, four Central Division titles, and four West Division titles. The Twins are currently based in Minneapolis, Minnesota and they are playing in the Central Division of the American League. The team was established in the year 1901 and they were originally known as the Nationals and the Senators.      

 

They had amazingly won the World Series in 1924. In the 1960s, the team’s key players were Harmon Killebrew, Bob Allison, Camilo Pascual, Zoilo Versalles, Jim Kaat, Earl Battey, and Lenny Green. It was in the year 1962 when the Twins had won 92 games which became the most winning record by the franchise since 1933. Three years after, the team had won the American League Pennant but was defeated by the Los Angeles Dodgers during the World Series. During the 1970s, the team continued in posting winning records and was able to win the first two American League West division titles. They did not show a good performance in the 1980s and was able to win only 37% of their games in 1981 to 1982.    

 

They also had a poor performance in the 1990s and they really had a hard time in trying to beat off their opponents. In the 2000s however, the team had noticeably improved in their games and had compiled the longest streak of successive winning seasons.
