Renowned winner of six Word Series titles, Los Angeles Dodgers has also won 21 National League pennants, 9 West Division titles and 2 wild card berths. Founded in 1883, the Dodgers originated in Brooklyn, New York and are currently based in Los Angeles, California. The team had moved to Los Angeles just before the 1958 season. During the National League Division Series in the year 2006, they were defeated by the New York Mets but they are expected to improve more on their playing skills in the 2007 season.
