Established in 1962, Houston Astros had won one National League pennant, four Central Division titles, two West Division titles and two wild card berths. They are currently based in Houston, Texas and they are playing in the Central Division of the National League. They were originally called as the Houston .45s and they started playing in the league on April 10, 1962. They became the Houston Astros on April 9, 1965 and had inaugurated the indoor baseball in the Astrodome.

In the year 1972, the Astros finished the season with an 84-69 record and was ranked second in the National League West. During the 1979 season, Nolan Ryan had signed with the team as a free agent and the team had also acquired Joe Morgan to lead them. In the following year, the Astros had amazingly won their first National League West Championship. In 1989, Craig Biggio became part of the team and had amazingly set team records in numerous offensive categories. They had also signed Jeff Bagwell and many say that the team’s decision in signing him up was the best move that the team had ever made.

The team had remarkably won successive division titles in the year 1997, 1998 and 1999. The team had decided to move to their new stadium in 2000 and in the following year, they had once again won another National League Central title. In the 2007 season, the Astros had signed Mark Loretta and also the veteran outfielder Richard Hidalgo.

Cool sports stuff of the Astros such as their framed dynasty collage, pride photo mint, dirt coin, and the team’s Nolan Ryan autographed MLB baseball Texas heat inscription can be owned by avid fans. Their name is sometimes misspelled as Hoston Astors, Housten Astroes, Houston Astrus, Housston Astrose, and Hoseton Asstros.
