Established as one of the best first baseman in the Major League Baseball, Todd Helton was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on August 20, 1973.Since 1997, he played with Colorado Rookies and up to present he continually excelled in every game.
During his high school years he was regarded as the Regional player of the year and was able to set a record of 12 home runs. Todd Helton is not merely a baseball player but also football player and became a scholar of the University of Tennessee. He got an injury in his junior years but it did not stop him to play baseball, it motivates him instead.
In Tood Helton’s debut in his baseball career on August 2, 1997 with the Colorado rookies, he replaced Andres Galarraga. During these times he was able to set a record of 97 RBI and 12 home runs which prove that he is worth replacing Galarraga. He also ranked second in the rookie of the year fro the National League. Helton never stops in having achievements during his baseball career, he won the All-Star Awards for 5 times from 2004 to 2005, Silver Slugger Award for 5 times in 2000 to 2004, Hank Aaron Award in the National League in 2001 and got the Dick Howser Trophy in 1995.
