Having won as the Most Valuable Player in the American League for two times, Ted Williams was born in San Diego California on August 30, 1918. He played with thee Boston Red Sox team and became a manager for Washington Senators and Texas Rangers. Ted Williams is also known for his nickname as “The Thumper” and “the Splendid Splinter”.
In Ted Williams’ high school years, he was able to join in various baseball games and he was discovered by Saint Louise Cardinals and New York Yankees but refused to sign a contract with the team. He instead played with Sad Diego Padres and Minneapolis Millers.
During his debut in his baseball career, he was able to show his passion in baseball. He was awarded for 5 times as player of the year for the Major League and won as the Most Valuable Player for two times. In the American League he was able to have the Triple Crown Award. In his baseball career, he was able to set record of 1839 RBI and 21 home run. In 1966 he was elected as the baseball hall of fame. His had his last game with the Boston Red Sox on September 28, 1960. He became the manager of Washington Senators and Texas Rangers after retiring. In July 5, 2002 he died at the age of 83.
