William Roger Clemens, also known as Roger Clemens was born on the 4th of August, 1962. He lived in Dayton, Ohio only until 1977. He then studied at Spring Woods High School in Texas, where he played basketball, football, and baseball. Since then the Minnesota Twins and Philadelphia Phillies have been scouting on him, but he preferred to go to college. Clemens had his debut in the major league with the Boston Red Sox. Clemens played with the Red Sox for 13 seasons. People also called him "The Rocket". He plays as a right-handed pitcher, being one of the most excellent in the 1980s, 1990s and even up to the 2000s in the Major League baseball, as he plays for the New York Yankees. Clemens was named “the greatest living pitcher” by ESPN analysts when they came up with a poll in 2006. Among all the other pitchers, he has managed to win two more Cy Young Awards. One of the highlights of his career was on the 29th of April, 1986 at Fenway Park, in a nine-inning game against the Seattle Mariners in the major league. During this event, he became the very first pitcher who was able to strike out of 20 of the batters. Furthermore, he didn't accomplish this 20-strikeout feat just once. He had his second 10 years later, on the 18th of September, 1996 when he was playing at the Tiger Stadium against the Detroit Tigers.
