Also known as “Charlie Hustle”, Pete Rose was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 14, 1941. He is a previous player as well as a manager the baseball league. Among the teams he had played with are the Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies, and Montreal Expos. It was with the Cincinnati Reds from the year 1984 and 1989 that he shared his skills in handling a team. In his last game in the Major League, he was able to set a career record of 4256 hits, .303 average and 160 home runs.
Even when Pete Rose was still at a very young age, he was already pushed to engage himself into various types of sports. Such attitude already runs in his family because his father was a former semi-professional football player who also aspired for his children to get into the same field of expertise. Pete Rose spent his high school education at Western Hills High School. During such time, he had been very famous for his excellent performances both in baseball and football. Rose had his priority on sports rather on his studies.
Pete Rose had his debut into the major league on April 8, 1963. His team successfully fought against the Pittsburgh Pirates at that time. Until then, Pete Rose remained to be a very brilliant contributor into his team’s glorious victories. Among the honors that Rose earned during his career period include a Most Valuable Player award in the year 1973 and Rookie of the Year award in the National League in 1963.
