Currently playing for the New York Yankees as a center fielder, Johnny Damon was born in Fort Riley, Kansas on November 5, 1973. Among the teams he had already played with are Kansas City Royals, Oakland Athletics, and Boston Red Sox. He is established as one of the most outstanding players in the history of the Major League Baseball. He started his professional career when he was chosen by the Royals during the amateur draft which was conducted in the year 1992. it was due to his excellent playing record in his high school of which he spent at Dr. Phillips High School.
Johnny Damon was highly regarded by baseball fanatics as one of the best players in the new generation. In the year 2004, he placed second in terms of most runs established. He was had also contributed much on the Boston Red Sox’s first championship won after 86 years of having no victories.
