Chien-Ming Wang, born on March 31, 1980 in Tainan City, Taiwan, is a starting pitcher for the New York Yankees in Major League Baseball making the Chien-Ming Wang MLB baseball an important item. He was initially signed as an amateur free-agent for the 2000 season, playing for the Staten Island Yankees.
He played for the Taiwan national baseball team in the 2002 Asian Games. In 2004, he led the Taiwan team to Athens Greece where the 2004 Olympic games took place. With just three hits with no walks and at one point retired nine batters in row they were able to earn the win. Wang won 19 games posted a 3.63 ERA and had his first save on June 3 against the Baltimore Orioles making the Chien-Ming Wang MLB baseball a valuable item to collect.
Wang throws a sinker and four-seam fastball combination together with a slider and forkball. He can also hit a speed up to 98 mph though usually sits in the mid-90s. His sinker is also faster than other players, sitting in the 93-95 mph range. The said sinker was Wang's signature pitch which was developed as advised by Mel Stottlemyre. Wang's pitching style is formed by efficiency command of the strike zone, few walks, few home runs allowed and very few strikeouts. In order to produce many double plays, Wang uses his ground-ball inducing sinker.
Have your own piece of Wang’s cool sports stuffs just like the jersey and the Chien-Ming Wang MLB baseball. At times the name of this amazing baseball player is misspelled as Chen-Meng Wang, Chin- Ming Wang, Chine- Ming Wang, Chene- Ming Wang, Chien Mang Wing and Cheen Ming Wong.
