One of the National League’s most feared sluggers is the six feet, six inches in height and 275 pound, Adam Dunn.
Elected to the 2002 National League All-Star team, Dunn was born on the 9th of November 1979 at Houston, Texas. He is the Major League Baseball outfielder for the Cincinnati Reds. In 2004, which was his most productive season, he posted career highs in batting with an average of .266, home runs with 46, RBI with 102, 105 runs, 151 hits, 34 doubles, .388 on base percentage, .569 slugging average, and .957 OPS. Not only that, he led the MLB in strikeouts with 195, which made him the single season strikeout record for batters leader. In that same year, he joined Hall of Fame second baseman Joe Morgan as the only Reds to score 100 runs, drive in 100 runs, and draw 100 walks in a single season.
During his Major League debut on July 20, 2001, he set a National League rookie record for the most home runs in a month by hitting 12 in August. In September 30, 2004, he struck out three times against Chicago Cubs right-hander Mark Prior, raising his season total to 191 and surpassing Bobby Bond’s single season strikeout record of 189 in 1970.
